The ticket to be issued is mandatory for your entry into the National Woodland Park of Samaria, which is the core zone of the protected area.
The ticket constitutes resources of NECCA, as well as of the adjacent Municipalities, according to article 5 of the Joint Ministerial Decision no.ΥΠΕΝ/ΓΔΠΠ/26828/406(Government Gazette, issue Β’ 1414/24.03.2022).
With the ticket, you contribute significantly to the actions of NECCA for the preservation and management of the protected are as of Greece as well as to the implementation of basic works in the Gorge of Samaria, such as the cleaning-maintenance of the main path, the maintenance & improvement of infrastructure, and the supervision of the area along the main path.
Operation of the National Park of Samaria The Natural Environment & Climate Change Agency (N.E.C.C.A.) announces that, the measure of defining the maximum number of visitors within the National Park of Samaria as set at 1,000 people per day, is extended until Friday the 11th of October 2024. To avoid delays or cancellations, visitors of organized groups will enter exclusively with an electronic ticket. Finally, it is reminded that, based on the new Rules and Regulations of the National Park, visitors must respect and protect the natural environment of the National Park, as well as to comply with the regulatinons when entering, exiting and staying in it. Visitors assume unconditinonal personal responsibility for their own safety upon entering and remaining within the territorial boundaries of the Samaria Gorge, acknowledging and accepting all the inherent risks, particularly in cases of emergencies and unforeseen circumstances and must take any measures they deem necessary for their personal safety, including but not indicative, the use of protective helmets, suitable footwear, compliance with safety distances, etc. In addition, they must fully comply with any emergency regulations or prohibitions on entry and stay within the National Park, as well as, in any case, adhere to the instructions and recommendations from the staff of the competent authorities or their contractors.
